Joining Costs

At the present time the AE Awards project receives no support from the Ministry of Education or other government sources. The following costs help us keep the project going for the network of providers who are involved in it.

Provider Annual fee

A single fee paid each year, contributes to resource development, NZQA compliance (at our end), project set up costs, your first 20 copies of Getting Started (for a new provider).

 

Student enrolment cost

$33

(per student)

This is charged to start a record for your student. It is non-refundable (for example if they leave) and includes getting them hooked on to the NZQA framework (if they are not already).

Credit reporting cost

(for your students)

$3.50

(per credit)

This includes NZQA charges for reporting results. You pay this as you report results through Praxis at the end of each term. NOTE: You do NOT pay this fee if you report results through another provider (for example a school or the Correspondence School)

The following costs are NOT included in these figures:

  • Inital Training
  • Teaching resources and assessment materials –you must either use:
    • Approved assessment materials for completing assessments with students.
    • OR an approved provider (for example driving tutor)
  • The cost of travel and accomodation for PD training.
  • If an AE team member needs to travel to come and see you (see Step 1), we may ask you to contribute to their travel costs.
  • RAP courses are costed seperately.
