Fees and other costs

All amounts are in $NZ and include GST

Tuition fees

  • Your fees ($7999.00) cover: tuition, required texts, library memberships, food & accommodation at course events (eg. class trips & retreats)
  • This includes a $500 deposit, which must be paid upon enrolment.
  • The balance ($7,499.00) must be paid on arrival by bank draft (Praxis does not have credit card facilities).
Your enrolment is not final until fees are paid.
  • This fee covers enrolment in either Praxis course for one year.
  • Some Scholarships are available to a limited number of International students who are involved with Praxis partner groups.

You will still need to pay for:

General costs

  • Personal stationary, meals on normal class days, photocopying for personal use.
  • Phone calls (local land line calls in NZ are free).
  • Access to the internet must be negotiated with your local course co-ordinator or agency. We are not able to promise free access.

Accommodation

Allow between $180 and $200 per week for either homestay (boarding) or flatting. This cost will normally cover food and utilities such as power (see accommodation)

National Travel

Allow at least $500 for travel within NZ as part of course requirements (this figure may be higher if you live outside of Wellington).

Local Tavel

Travel to and from class and your agency is at your own expense. Once your accommodation and agency are arranged we can give you an idea of how much to set aside for this.

Scholarships

Praxis may provide a scholarship for international students who meet all of the scholarship criteria.
The scholarships help to reduce tuition fees, and are aimed at making the courses more accessible to people who are not in a position to meet the full amount. Scholarships are normally negotiated between the partner group and Praxis on behalf of an applicant. Enquiries about scholarships should be initiated by your local organisation and directed to neo@praxis.org.nz

All other costs (travel, accommodation), must be met.
