Welcome International Students

Welcome to Praxis!

Thank you for your interest in studying in New Zealand with us. Praxis is a Christian training organisation which offers tertiary courses in youth and community work for Christians who are aged over 18. We have a special focus on helping Christians become more effective in working in their communities.

Praxis is a member of International Christian Youthworks (ICY).  We ONLY accept applications from international students who are associated with:

• ICY partner groups (see the ICY website for a list of these groups).
• Lilok or Servants (Philippines)
• YFC or The Salvation Army in Fiji
• Other Approved Organisations

Praxis is registered with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority as a Private Training Provider. This means that we are a private agency, but our educational standards are audited and monitored by the NZ government.  The information in this section applies specifically to international students. It should be read alongside the general information about the course you are interested in (see links to Programme information at the top of this page).  Please note international students will be enrolled only with Praxis, and not with Whitireia Community Polytechnic

Praxis has agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students published by the Minister of Education.
