Professional Development Series 2 Workshops

We are running an initial series of the PD Series 2 workshops in the second half of 2008. These are intended for the two AE centres (in Porirua and Christchurch) that are participating in the pilot of the AE Awards project. However, we are prepared to include a handful of reps from other groups who want to ‘check it out’. The workshops are scheduled as follows:

• Aug 11^th (Christchurch) Assessing Strengths and Needs (1 day) Assesses US 7912 and part of 22256
• Sept 15-16 (Porirua) Developing an IDP and Teaching Programme from a needs assessment (2 day) Assesses US 16858 and rest of 22256
• Nov 3-4 (Christchurch) Integrating unit standard assessments into creative learning experiences (2 day) Assesses US 4098

The workshops build from one another, so it’s best to consider doing all three. To complete the workshops for credit you need to be able to meet twice (with at least two other people) after each workshop.
