All great missionary movements begin at the fringes of the church, among the poor and marginalised, and seldom, if ever, at the centre. It is vital that in pursuing missional modes of church, we get out of stifling equilibrium of the centre of our movements and denominations, move to the fringes and engage in real mission there.

But there’s more to it than just mission; most great movements of mission have inspired significant and related movements of renewal in the life of the church. It seems that when the church engages at the fringes, it almost always brings life to the centre. This says a lot about God and gospel...

Application and Enrolments:

Mo will be sending you your enrolment packs shortly, click here to review the enrolment process. You may also find it helpful to look at the 'Guide to Enrolling' which will be in the enrolment packs. You will give an enrolment pack & offer of study letter to anyone you interview and accept on the spot.

You need to get the following stuff done for your interviews:

  • An invite to your enrolment event (add to student enrolment pack)
  • A copy of the offer of study letter personalised with your details (get draft off the documents section) (add to student enrolment pack)
  • Make sure you have a filled out copy of the Whitireia enrolment as a guide to helping them fill out their one.

Once you've received the completed enrolment from the student, you need to prepare and have ready to give to each student:

  • A letter of acceptance (draft will be on website)
  • Details for the first block course (draft will be on website) 
  • Supervision Booklet (from Mo, and on website)
  • A book that the student is to read before the start of the first block course

Team Retreat:

The rough plan: On Sunday we do the programme planning stuff, on Monday we do the big questions stuff, on Tuesday project leaders get their budgets finalised with the trustees.

Remember to bring

  • For each student bring copies of your Record of Achievement, photocopy of Certs, Copy of personal reference (for Year 1’s).

All the info you will need for working out your budget for next year.
