GATHERING

It’s planned for the Saturday afternoon to Tuesday morning after the Auckland block course (Sept 27-30), it’s for the Salt Society –a get together of the Praxis team and Year 2ers former students from around the Pacific, Aussie, Philippines and NZ. We plan to share some stories, have some laughs, seek sporting glory and eat good food.

You can’t officially come this year -because you’re supposed to go off and become a legend first. But we could do with 2-3 people who would like to stay on (at no cost) and help with running it (kitchen etc). If you’re interested in staying an extra couple of days (check with your agency first) and hanging out, and don’t mind helping out, and are open to supporting the Aussie cricket team (who will be seriously short of talent), please let Lloyd@praxis.org.nz know.

ROAD TRIP

Dan and Lloyd are hitting the Road on a trip from Balclutha to Whangarei.

We are travelling with Ariana Elley and Justin Duckworth and doing some training days for networks of youth workers throughout the country.

We have space to take 2-3 of you guys with us for either some or all of it.

Interested?

Here are some details:

• WEEK ONE

Meet at Dunedin on Sunday afternoon October 12^th.

Finish the South Island at Nelson on Thursday 16^th

• WEEK TWO

Meet at Gisborne Tues 21^st(we may need someone to drive a van through to Gisborne on Monday for us)

Finish at Whangarei on Saturday morning 24^th

Cost

• Get yourself to the starting place, and home from the finish place.
• We’ll cover your meals and accom in between (however you will be expected to shout a coffee or two)

You can do one Island or both. If we have more people interested than we have spaces for we will draw names out of a hat.

The last day to register your interest is Friday August 8^th. If we confirm your place, you will have 5 days to book your travel (we will tell you flights and times). If you can’t do it by then we will give your place to the next person.
